The Mystery of Cosmos 1
I know I've probably disappointed a few people by not having had anything much to say about Cosmos 1 for a while. It's because, well, we haven't had anything much to say. We just issued a press release that makes pretty clear what we know and what we don't know, and what we need to know in order to proceed. Lou says: "The lack of data from the launch trajectory makes it hard to know what happened to the spacecraft. Knowing that the spacecraft actually began working in orbit would help The Planetary Society team determine its next steps in planning a new solar sail mission.
