Steve the Proton Arc While chasing aurora near Kamloops this week I captured an amazing phenomenon. Some have called it a proton arc while others claim it is not. Some veteran aurora chasers have been stumped by this and what causes it so have started calling it "Steve". Dave Markel Photography
