They stay up all night, night after night, searching the skies for giant rocks like the one that wiped out the dinosaurs. Some of these amateur astronomers get a helping hand from the Planetary Society’s Shoemaker NEO or Near Earth Object grant program. The Society’s Bruce Betts will give us an overview before we hear from two of the very dedicated recipients. You’ll also learn why Bill Nye wants YOU to write to the President about protecting planetary science. Bruce returns to tell us What’s Up, and announce the latest space trivia contest.
