While giving a talk at the University of Southern California last night, Planetary Society Executive Director Bill Nye fainted briefly, but returned to his feet and finished delivering his presentation. (Here's a nice report from the USC Daily Trojan that includes some good details about what Bill was talking about and how he managed to reach out to the audience in spite of his exhaustion.) Bill said today, "thanks to everyone who has expressed concern. I worked from 2 in the morning, with a nap that was too brief. I did not eat well yesterday. I ran out of steam. The episode reminds me of getting heat stroke about ten years ago. Medical professionals looked me over today. I'm okay, just very tired. Thank you for all your concern."
