Voyager's best color view of Umbriel

Voyager's best color view of Umbriel
Voyager's best color view of Umbriel Voyager captured this view of Uranus' moon Umbriel from a range of slightly more than a million kilometers on January 24, 1986. NASA / JPL / color composite by Ted Stryk

Umbriel is the third largest of Uranus' moons at 1,169 kilometers in diameter (very similar in size to Ariel, Tethys, and Dione). The bright ring near the terminator is an icy deposit within a likely impact crater named Wunda.
