Sagittarius C

Sagittarius C
Sagittarius C JWST is a master of making the invisible visible as it peers into the center of our galaxy. This 50 light-years-wide section of a densely populated center of the Milky Way galaxy, is the star-forming region Sagittarius C. JWST showcases the region glowing brightly with an estimated 500,000 stars, some of which are still gaining mass. The image shows invisible near-infrared wavelengths of light that have been translated into visible-light colors. NASA / ESA / CSA / STScI / S. Crowe (UVA)
