Rosetta Instrument Inventory Rosetta is a cornerstone mission of ESA. The spacecraft carried 11 science instruments, some of them having multiple components, contributed by scientific institutes in ESA member states and the U.S. The spacecraft was huge—a box 2.8 by 2.1 by 2 meters in size with a wingspan of 32 meters.
