Jupiter's moon Himalia This is the best extant image of Jupiter's moon Himalia. Himalia is Jupiter's largest irregular satellite and is about 170 kilometers in diameter, similar in size to Saturn's moon Janus. The photo was taken by New Horizons on March 1, 2007 from a distance of 10.8 million kilometers at a phase angle of 73 degrees. It has been enlarged by a factor of four.
