BepiColombo's 2nd Mercury flyby (annotated)
BepiColombo's 2nd Mercury flyby (annotated) The ESA/JAXA BepiColombo mission captured this image of Mercury during its second flyby of the planet. One of the notable features in this picture is the Challenger Rupes in the lower left-middle. This scarp is about 200 km (120 mi) long and stands 2 km (1 mi) high. Challenger Rupes was given a name by the International Astronomical Union working group in early June in anticipation of this image. You can find a non-annotated version of this image here.
