Ari Koeppel Prior to joining The Planetary Society's space policy fellowship, Ari's research focused on changing permafrost and ice thaw in the Arctic, using this vulnerable and geopolitically important region of our planet to inform our understanding of buried ice on Mars. As an educator, Ari worked to excite and inform students at all levels through formal courses, outreach events, and as an experiential educator leading wilderness excursions. Ari's work affirms that creative exploration, whether in space or in Earth's wild places, is a powerful way to cultivate a deeper connection with our natural world. Ari Koeppel
