Basin Near Titan's South Pole

Basin Near Titan's South Pole
Basin Near Titan's South Pole This 100 km-wide basin was seen during the T57 flyby (June 09) near Titan's south pole. The surface is illuminated from the bottom, so the shadows on the depression's steep margins can be seen. It is possible these features form from collapse, either through volcanic or dissolution processes.
