Opportunity's at the twin craters

Just a little update here to post a Navcam panorama from Opportunity showing that the rover successfully arrived yesterday at the doublet crater she's been aiming for since she left Concepcion a couple of weeks ago. Go here to get the latest route map to see Opportunity's current position. I'm sure Opportunity will spend a sol or few checking this area out but I don't expect her to stick around all that long; the crater is an older one and its ejecta has been worn away by the wind, leaving a fossil crater in much poorer condition than the one Opportunity just studied at Concepcion.

Twin craters On sol 2,194 (26 March 2010), Opportunity approached to within a few meters a double crater. The second crater is in the middle ground on the left side of the main crater.Image: NASA / JPL-Caltech / panorama by Emily Lakdawalla
