Xibalba and Nineveh Sulcus, Ganymede
Xibalba and Nineveh Sulcus, Ganymede This four-image Galileo SSI mosaic covers portions of Xibalba Sulcus (roughly N-S set of grooves and ridges at the center of the mosaic) and Nineveh Sulcus (the roughly E-W set of grooves and ridges on the right-hand side of mosaic). This mosaic is roughly centered near 28°N, 82°W. Xibalba Sulcus separates Galileo Regio on the left and Perrine Regio on the right. These images were taken at a distance of approximately 85,000 km from the center of Ganymede during Galileo orbit C9 in 1997. NASA / JPL / Jason Perry
