Shadowcam schematic Left: NASA’s ShadowCam instrument that will be onboard the Korean Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter. It’s wrapped in an orange-colored thermal blanket to protect it from the harsh space environment. The rings inside the sunshade reduce stray light from entering and overexposing the sensitive camera, which needs to capture dim light coming from the Moon’s permanently shadowed regions.
