Last call
Last call On Feb. 12, 2019, the MER operations team via NASA’s Deep Space Network (DSN) and its Aces transmitted the last communication signals to Opportunity. The rover did not respond. Right: MER Project Manager John Callas makes the call that ended the last formal session to try and reestablish contact. After he thanked the DSN for assistance in supporting mission operations for the last decade and a half, it was over.
