Hayabusa2 wide-angle views of a descent toward Ryugu, 1 August 2018 The Hayabusa2 team posted these wide-angle views of Ryugu to Twitter during a 26-hour round trip from "home" position at 20 kilometers above the asteroid to "medium altitude" position of 5 kilometers above the asteroid. Eleven of the images were taken during descent at the following times (all UTC) 31 Jul 23:00; 1 Aug 01:00; 03:00; 05:00; 07:00; 09:00; 09:50; 10:20; 10:50; 11:15; and 13:30. Four images were taken from 5 kilometers away, on 1 August at 14:30; 17:30; 21:00; and 22:00. The final two were taken during ascent on 2 August at 00:00 and 02:00. JAXA / Emily Lakdawalla
