Hayabusa2 SCI experiment images
Hayabusa2 SCI experiment images Japan's Hayabusa2 spacecraft recorded these images of dust and rock spraying away from asteroid Ryugu after the spacecraft fired a copper plate into the surface on 5 April 2019. Hayabusa2 later collected a sample from the resulting 10-meter-wide crater for return to Earth. The left image is enlarged on the right. JAXA, Kobe University and collaborators
