Color view of Ganymede's South Polar Region from Voyager 2 This Voyager 2 mosaic of the south polar region of Ganymede was acquired on July 9, 1979. The large crater in the bright terrain near the upper left of the image is Isis. The Bubastis Sulci ridge system is visible at the bottom of the mosaic. The images in the mosaic have been resampled to a resolution of 500 meters per pixel. Color is from wide angle images (orange, green, and violet filters). NASA / JPL / Daniel Macháček
