From Eagle to Endeavour (October 2017)
From Eagle to Endeavour (October 2017) These images show the routes that Opportunity took from her landing in Eagle Crater to Endeavour Crater, and then along the western rim of Endeavour Crater from Cape Tribulation to Perseverance Valley. The rover drove deeper into Perseverance, locatd in the Cape Byron segment of the crater rim, in late August and then spent September shooting the views all around her. The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) took the base images for these graphics. Larry Crumpler, a member of the MER science team, provided the annotations. NASA / JPL-Caltech / UA / L. Crumpler / NMMNH
