Feb. 26, 2026 night sky snapshot All month, very bright Jupiter shines bright in the evening east, rising higher in the sky over the night. Jupiter is a little more than twice as bright as the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius, not that far away. It is also a great time to take in the constellation Orion, outlined in blue here.
