Closeup on Herschel
Closeup on Herschel Cassini's two highest-resolution views from its 13 February 2010 flyby of Mimas caught the southern half of the crater Herschel and an area to its east. This view is composed of two clear-filter images taken from the raw JPEG website. They were rotated to put north up and their levels adjusted to make the coloration fairly continuous. Level adjustment is not perfect because of the automatic contrast stretch applied to the raw JPEG images. NASA / JPL-Caltech / SSI / mosaic by Emily Lakdawalla
