Achim Vollhardt
Physicist, University of Zurich
Dr. Achim Vollhardt is a professional physicist and semi-professional hunter of space probes. He holds a Ph.D. in physics, and is working at the University of Zurich for various projects (LHCb, CTA). Being a radio amateur since the age of 16, he joined AMSAT-DL in 1998. He is part of a team of space enthusiasts which detected Voyager 1 in 2006 and recorded first radar echoes from Venus in 2009.
