Stressed about the U.S. election?
You aren't alone. According to the American Psychological Association, more than 52 percent of American adults report the election is affecting their mental health. The APA study also found adults using social media are more likely to experience stress than those that don't.
Maybe that explains why I haven't been on Twitter much lately.
Last week, NASA released a new International Space Station flythrough video. It was shot in 4K, with a fisheye lens, and set to a soundtrack that's part haunting, part awe-inspiring. Until yesterday, I hadn't really sat down and watched the entire thing all the way through.
It was worth the time. I recommend you play it in full screen—on a large TV, if you have one. Set the resolution to 4K. Maybe dim the lights and grab a loved one if you can.
As you watch, remember that human beings built this. We did this. We shipped a series of giant cylinders into space, pressurized them, and made them into an offworld home and science laboratory that has been continually staffed for more than 15 years.
Stay healthy, everyone.
