The Society's Mat Kaplan welcomes poet and author Diane Ackerman to a delight-filled conversation about her wonderful collection, THE PLANETS: A COSMIC PASTORAL. Here's how Diane's mentor, Carl Sagan, described it: "One of the triumphs of Ackerman’s pastoral is the demonstration of how closely compatible planetary exploration and poetry, science and art really are." She was awarded the 2022 Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication.
