AI was a key tool in The Planetary Society's efforts to Save NASA Science in 2025. In the face of the biggest advocacy challenge in our organization's history, we deployed a range of innovative applications of AI in our work. Not every experiment was a success, but many were. And ultimately, AI tools enabled our two-person advocacy team to perform on par with teams twice our size working with significantly more resources — all for less than an annual subscription to POLITICO Pro.

This webinar with The Planetary Society's Space Policy and Advocacy team explores how we approached AI not just as a tool for chatting, but as a researcher, copy editor, coder, and brainstorming partner. Casey Dreier and Jack Kiraly share both first-hand lessons and research-backed insights into AI's strengths, weaknesses, and the learning process required to better integrate this vast, rapidly evolving capability. They also highlight our responsible approach to AI, including privacy and data security.
