The view from inside Perseverance
The view from inside Perseverance This mosaic scene, which combines five images that Opportunity took with her Navigation Camera (Navcam) on July 7, 2017, shows the rover’s view just after she had driven into Perseverance Valley and onto the small knoll where she waited out solar conjunction. The portion of this scene to the left of the shadow of the rover's mast shows the valley descending to the floor of Endeavour Crater, which is 22 kilometers (13.67-miles) in diameter. Foreground areas in the middle and right sections of the scene show terrain details in the upper end of the valley. The full scene spans from northeast at left to southwest at right.
