Starry Messenger Planetary Society member Gerry Sperry shared this piece of artwork with us."Named after Galileo's epochal work, I was inspired by Carl Sagan, Cosmos, and my life-long love of astronomy. I created it shortly before I was able to afford becoming a Charter Member of the Planetary Society in 1982. I went on to teach college-level astronomy in addition with my teaching duties and work as an artist, combining my love of science and art in my path through life.
