Made using traditional rug hooking techniques, the original piece is 32″ x 18″, made of hand-cut wool and jersey, sari silk, wool roving, wool and synthetic yarn on linen. It was designed based on images from NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft, the Hubble Space Telescope, and the International Space Station.
