Slope failure in 'Cobra Head' In radar images, surfaces are bright when they face the spacecraft or if they contain material that is rough at the scale of the radar wavelength (in this case, 12 centimeters). This bright triangle on the northern wall of the "Cobra Head," the source region of the Vallis Schröteri in Oceanus Procellarum, likely contains blocky material so may represent a landslide down the steep wall.
