Parral

Parral
Parral At her first stop just inside Perseverance, Opportunity checked out a small rock or cobble the team named Parral, after the stop on the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro (The Royal Road of the Interior Land). What drew the scientists to this rock were the wind tails clearly visible in the middle of this frame. The MER team changed the target naming theme to stops along the old, 2,560-kilometer (about 1,591-mile) trade route between Mexico City and San Juan Pueblo, New Mexico once the rover entered Perseverance.
