OSIRIS-REx first touchdown rehearsal

OSIRIS-REx first touchdown rehearsal
OSIRIS-REx first touchdown rehearsal These images were captured by NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on 14 April 2020 during the mission's first touchdown rehearsal above asteroid Bennu. The rehearsal brought the spacecraft within 65 meters of the surface. When OSIRIS-REx actually touches down in August, it will fire a small puff of gas into the surface and collect soil and small rocks inside the canister at the end of its arm.
