Marc Rayman with the Dawn spacecraft
Marc Rayman with the Dawn spacecraft Dawn project system engineer Marc Rayman stands in dust-protective clothing (often referred to as a "bunny suit") in front of the Dawn spacecraft at Astrotech Space Operations in Titusville, Florida on May 25, 2007. An ion thruster (with a protective cover) is behind his right elbow. The spacecraft is nearly fully assembled at this point. The solar array on the far side of the spacecraft had already been installed and folded for launch. A portion of that array is visible in the lower left corner between the antenna and the thruster. The gold bar on the right (which is also reflected in a panel behind his head) is the yoke for the other solar array which is off the picture but was in the final stages of being folded. At the time that this photo was taken, thermal blankets for the high gain antenna and some other areas had not yet been installed, and the propellants had not been loaded. Marc Rayman
