LightSail 2 image of Hurricane Ian, Florida, Cuba This image taken by The Planetary Society's LightSail 2 spacecraft on Sept. 29, 2022 at 2136 UTC shows Hurricane Ian after the eye, visible near the tip of the sail, just crossed Florida and was in the Atlantic. Visible through the clouds are the hard-hit locations of western Cuba (at left) and the southwestern Florida coast (center). Shadows of the spacecraft solar panels can be seen on the sail.
