JIRAM's window on Jupiter, August 1, 2016 An animation of 186 Juno JIRAM images obtained over a period of 1 hour and 35 minutes from a distance of approximately 8 million kilometers. The images have been processed to reveal details in areas that appear very dark in the original data. The bright spot to the right of Jupiter is Io, visible to JIRAM because is glowing with heat from its many active volcanoes. NASA / JPL-Caltech / SwRI / ASI / INAF / JIRAM / Björn Jónsson
