Hello Oppy Opportunity has been hunkered down about halfway down Perseverance Valley since early June 2018, not far from where the rover took the image above. By the end of September, the blanket of Mars’ rusty red dust that enveloped the planet has dissipated and the storm was over. The MER team is now beaming signals to ‘nudge’ the rover to respond, while also listening for any beep that the rover may be sending. NASA / JPL-Caltech / Cornell / ASU / additional processing S.
