Examining Mesilla Opportunity used her Front Hazard Camera to take this image as she hunkered down inside Perseverance Valley on Halloween over Mesilla, an erosional tail target, at La Bajada. The robot field geologist finished taking close-up pictures of the target with her Microscopic Imager (MI) and analyzing its chemical make-up with her Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer (APXS) during the first week November 2017.
