Endeavour’s west rim and Oppy’s recent roves as of August 2017 The orbital image of the western rim of Endeavour Crater [left] marks the locations of the raised segments of the rim that Opportunity has visited since arriving in August 2011, plus one. The rover drove into Perseverance in July after nearly two months of surveying the area atop the valley [right]. Annotations for the graphic on the right were meticulously documented by Phil Stooke, an associate professor at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, author of The International Atlas of Mars Exploration Volumes 1 and 2, (Cambridge University Press). The base images were taken by the Context Camera [left] and the HiRISE camera [right] both onboard MRO. NASA / JPL-Caltech / UA / MSSS / P. Stooke
