Cas A supernova remnant in multiple wavelengths This composite image shows the Cassiopeia A supernova remnant, combining X-ray, visible, and infrared data collected by the Chandra, Hubble, Webb, and Spitzer space telescopes. The Cas A supernova remnant spans about 10 light-years, is only about 340 years old, and has a superdense neutron star at its center — the remains of the original star's core.
