A base map for Opportunity's travels
A base map for Opportunity's travels Opportunity's travels have taken it a long way. It landed in Eagle crater (almost invisible in this image) and rolled to Endurance (a tiny dark hole near the upper left corner). It moved on to Victoria, a fresh, sharp-edged crater that is visible above center, to the left of this image, with a prominent dark streaks fanning out of its northern rim. After Victoria, it traveled 12 kilometers more, down to the rim of Endeavour crater, at bottom center of this Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Context Camera photo. NASA / JPL-Caltech / MSSS
