A day in the life of a rear Hazcam
Curiosity took the images for this animation over a 24-hour period on sols 2209 and 2210 (23-24 October 2018). Engineers were testing the cameras' response to Mars' temperature changes from day to night. (Temperatures vary from daytime to nighttime by about 70 degrees Celsius or 120 degrees Fahrenheit.)
