A litle update from the press room

I should be euphoric at this point with the successful landing, but I'm exhausted and disheartened becuase of all the malicious denial-of-service attacks on our website and on my Ustream channel -- they've very effectively impeded my efforts to get information about the landing out to the world. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do that.

But I should have my mood boosted in a little over a half an hour, when there is a press briefing scheduled; we'll see the smiling happy faces of all the scientists and engineers, celebrating their new images. I'm going to go take a break and report back after that press briefing.

In the meantime, congratulations to the Phoenix team, and a big thanks to them for making all those beautiful images available so quickly.

One thing I can add...just how amazing is Doug Ellison's prediction for what the terrain would look like?
