So Kaguya appears to be safely on its way to the Moon. It will orbit Earth for a couple of weeks first, performing three trajectory correction maneuvers, before entering a highly elliptical orbit at the Moon on October 3. There's a timeline in the news story I posted earlier on Kaguya's launch.
Also, Cherilynn Morrow sent in a report on her impressions of the launch, including an interesting observation on how Americans and Japanese respond differently to rocket launches, as well as a really nice sequence of photos of the launch from Mike Wargo. Check it out!
