My brother and I enjoyed watching Reading Rainbow as kids, so it's a delight for me to have had a guest post published on their blog last week. I wrote for them about how kids (with the help of their parents) can follow the adventure of the Curiosity mission through the release of their raw images. Go check it out!

For those of you asking: Huh? Is Reading Rainbow still on? The answer is, it's not; it was canceled in 2009, after a 26-year run. But the brand lives on, with LeVar Burton still its public face, in the form of an iPad app library of multimedia-enhanced, carefully curated children's books.

Now if I can just get LeVar Burton to write a guest blog for The Planetary Society.....
