The number is meaningless in itself, but reaching a nice round number like post #1,000 tends to cause one to stop and take stock. I've been writing this blog off and on, with occasional help from guests, since I began by posting updates on the status of our attempt to launch the first Solar Sail -- by coincidence, almost exactly two years ago, on June 10, 2005.
What to do to commemorate the 1,000th post? After a little discussion here at the Society about it, I've decided that, rather than blather on about how I've been blathering on about space for two years and 1,000 blog entries, I'd much rather find out what you think. Why do you read? What do you like or dislike about the blog? What would you like to see more or less of? What was your favorite blog entry? Who are you, anyway? I'd really love to know more about who I'm talking to, what you're interested in hearing about, and why. Send me an email and let me know!
