Bill Nye and Mat Kaplan recently drove to California's high desert to shoot a video documentary about the big SOFIA infrared telescope that is carried above 41,000 feet by a remodeled Boeing 747. Planetary Radio this week features some of the audio recorded during that visit. Emily Lakdawalla is no longer a skeptic regarding ice volcanoes, since one may have been found on Titan. Bruce takes you and Mat on another What's Up tour of the night sky. The new space trivia contest offers a hardcover copy of the new book about the sixty-year history of the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, Flights of Discovery. Also, a commemorative pin that flew with SOFIA.
