Perihelion comet
Rosetta took the images for this color view of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko on 31 July 2015, just before perihelion. Even in a short exposure image, comet jet activity is readily visible. The view is primarily of the southern hemisphere, which was near the height of its summer.
