Hot Jupiter with silicate cloud cover An artist's depiction of a "Hot Jupiter" extrasolar planet enveloped by high altitude clouds of silicate.


Observations by the Spitzer Space Telescope raised the possibility that some extrasolar planets may be covered by such clouds.
