Filed under pretty pictures, amateur image processing, Mars, Curiosity (Mars Science Laboratory), Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter
This view covers the terrain that Curiosity has to cover between its position at Dingo Gap (sol 528, January 30, 2014) and the future stopping point, KMS-9. The contrast of the HiRISE image has been strongly enhanced to emphasize subtle color variations.
