Planets over Cumbria Near dawn on December 8, 2012, Stuart Atkinson caught Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and the Moon near the horizon. All four were then being orbited by spacecraft: MESSENGER, Venus Express, Cassini, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, and GRAIL.
