Humankind was comfortable in the knowledge that the heavens contained numerous stars, 8 heavenly bodies, various comets and miscellaneous nebulae. Then one night in 1781 William Herschel changed all that when he discovered a new planet. It would be nearly 200 years before humans would get a close up view of this strange planet – tipped on its side and sporting rings and moons. This dramatic presentation tells the exciting story of planetary discovery with stunning images and accompanied by music and video. An entertaining presentation when 18th century flare meets modern science!
